Mrs. Carol Krichbaum

Principal

I was born in the Bronx (( but was never a Yankees fan since Dad was born in Brooklyn), raised in New Jersey, college in Connecticut, raised my family in Boston-and I have spent the last twelve years at St. Theresa. I love northern Virginia but my husband and I had no family here until grandson Connor started Washington and Lee last year. Now we drive to Lexington to catch every one of Connor's basketball games and are thrilled that the family has moved Thanksgiving from Boston to our house! God has given me amazing gifts. We learn more from adversity and we are far more empathetic if we have had experiences. I am truly blessed with having had cancer twice, gone through a divorce, raised a child with disabilities, dealt with a family member with addictions, and held a dying father's hand. All of these things made me more human and better able to understand others. I have taught in rural and inner city public schools, in Catholic schools in the Boston area, and was principal of Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Memorial School in Hyde Park, Massachusetts before coming here. Until now, I have never had a school with grass to play on and no chain link fence to keep us in! I love seeing our children running on the track and playing soccer and volleyball, as well as climbing to the top of the 'Web of Death' , a huge climbing structure! Our team works hard to provide a rich Catholic educational environment for all of our children. Their success is our success! Nothing could be more rewarding!
